LCTP members are ordinary people just like you. We’re your friends and neighbors found in communities all over Lewis County.

Like so many Americans today, we are sick and tired of seeing the Constitution — and with it our rights — eroded by an out-of-control government. We’re fed up with being ruled over by contemptuous career politicians who have no idea what it’s like to struggle to get by in the real world, and we’ve had enough of arbitrary laws being selectively applied according to the whims or agendas of those given the authority to enforce them.

In short, we want our country back.

Our freedoms and rights are under attack on so many fronts it’s mind-boggling; it’s literally impossible for one person to keep track of them all. It’s equally difficult for any one person to devote the time, energy and wealth required to effectively fight back. LCTP was formed to pool the efforts of patriots in Lewis County and, as we grow, surrounding areas.

Our ultimate goal is to put control of our Republic back in the hands of We The People. To this end, we’ve adopted the strategies we found to be most successful:

• Educating the public about the issues we face today, as well as the Constitution, liberty, and similar topics
• Spreading information about local and national events or legislation that may impact us
• Participating in local, statewide and national events that promote liberty
• Holding our own events to raise public interest and awareness
• Building strong communities filled with active, knowledgable citizens

Our emphasis is on local action. Lewis County is a stronghold for liberty-minded individuals in Western Washington; we intend not only to ensure it stays that way, but that it grows even more so.

We believe the quickest route to restoring freedom is through our three principles:

• Limited, Constitutional Government
• Free Markets
• Fiscal Responsibility

Constitutional Government is limited government, a fact long-since forgotten by the elitist politicians in both Olympia and DC. By demanding government adhere to the roles laid out for it in the constitution — the only areas which it currently fails to take any action in — it will naturally shrink.

Free Markets does not mean unregulated markets; it means no crony capitalism, no “too big to fail” and no public-private partnerships. Free markets mean you’re free to engage in commerce with whom you want, and to avoid doing so when you don’t want.

The need for Fiscal Responsibility is likely painfully apparent to most people by now. The government continues to spend obscene amounts of money, more than many of you reading this will earn in a lifetime, every few minutes. Much of this spending is not just wasteful, but downright absurd.

The quickest way to become involved with LCTP is to attend our monthly meeting. We welcome all liberty-minded folk, regardless of age, race, creed, or political affiliation. Meetings cover topics ranging from the philosophies of our Founding Fathers to Agenda 21 encroachment to community disaster preparedness. We frequently have interesting and knowledgeable guest speakers, and we always have a good time!

Occasionally we hold special events, or plan to attend events other groups have organized. These unscheduled events will be marked on our Event Calendar as soon as the information is available.

The time to choose sides has come: we can have liberty, or we can have tyranny. We are well down the path to tyranny already; the hour grows late as efforts to abolish nearly every segment of the Constitution and Bill of Rights are increasingly successful.

America is going to continue down the dark path of oppression unless We The People, the rightful owners of this land, the Guardians of our Republic, do something to stop it. Yes, it requires sacrifice; but the alternative is much worse.
